Microgreens growing guide
To grow microgreens, you only need seeds, a growing mat or substrate, and a container.
- Soak the mat in water and place it in the container where the greens will grow.
- Spread the seeds evenly over the mat. They should cover the surface without piling on top of each other. Spray the seeds with water.
- Cover the container to create a greenhouse effect. Close it fully if the lid has holes; otherwise leave a small gap for airflow.
- Keep the container in a dark, warm place until shoots appear. Make sure the mat stays moist.
- When shoots appear, move the container to a warm, sunny place and remove the lid. Keep the seeds moist, but avoid overwatering because it can cause mold.
When the shoots reach 3-4 cm, they are ready to eat.
Enjoy! ☺
